This is a complex collection with two major groups of records. Finkel I, processed
approximately 1985, includes materials dating from 1959-1985. Finkel II, processed
approximately 1991, includes materials dating from 1950-1988. At some point the correspondence
and manuscripts materials from Finkel II were interfiled with Finkel I, and this is noted in
