Scope: Includes newspaper clippings, an album with mounted clippings,
photographs, programs, invitations, personal documents,
bibliographies and notes.
V. 1. Clippings. Consists of newspaper clippings and
tear-sheets from magazines containing articles by and about
Hurst, spanning 1909-1968. Included are
society columns, articles, interviews, obituaries, photographs
and an essay about Hurst by Zora Neale Hurston, dated
1937: Oct 9. An album, approximately 15? by 24?
containing mounted newspaper clippings is also included and is
filed on top of the Hurst Papers.
