Scope and Contents Note

Included in this collection are ca. 100 autographs (including John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, Alexander Hamilton, Winston Churchill, and William Thackeray), letters, documents (1756-1909), bulking mid- to late-nineteenth century, early twentieth. Fewer than 10 items represent the eighteenth century. Seven items are British, the remainder are American. Correspondence dates 1873-1929, bulking between 1909-1924. Also included are occasional photographs, photocopies, clippings, calling cards, and brochures.
