Scope: Contains drafts of unidentified poetry, notes related to individual poems and personal
affairs, including names, addresses of friends in Bombay and in and around London. Most names
are not fully identified. Also included are what appear to be booklists, grouped under a
particular publisher, including Eyre & Spottiswood, Peter Owen and Methuen. There are
brief publishing history notes about Methuen with a list of the [board of directors] Some of
the author included in these listings are Patrick White, John Braine, Allen Tate, Bernard
Malamud, R.P. Warren, Patience Stone, Helen Gurley Brown, and Eric Lambert. There are a few
figures and faces sketched, some unidentified titles and Moraes' signature appears 4 times on
p. 51.

correspondent [published as War Correspondent], and Behind the bar [published as After Hours,
for Francis Bacon] Note: these titles were published in John Nobody (1965), which accounts for
the date established above. The same names and addresses included here, are listed in the
other notebook as well. Also contains same notes on Methuen and repeats several of the names
on above book lists. Interspersed are similar unidentified names and addresses.
