Elyane Dezon-Jones received her undergraduate degree at the
University of Poitiers, her master's degree at the University of
Virginia, and her doctorate degree from the University of Paris IV
Sorbonne. She joined Washington University's staff in 1991 as professor
of romance languages. She is a scholar of 20th-century novelist Marcel
Proust. In addition to writing scholary studies, Dezon-Jones published
two fictional novels, Murder Chez Proust
and Meurtre a Petite Plaisance .
