Scope: Jean Baptiste B. d'Anville [1697-1782], French cartographer best known for his contribution to Asiatic cartography. In addition to one map of the Guinea coast [1775], this group consists of 6 maps of Asia [1751-53], arranged in three sets of two. The texts from which the maps were taken have not been determined.
