Scope: Titled on cover, Watterson on Grover Cleveland, contains two ms. essays with
ms. revisions, five loose sheets and a galley proof. First essay titled
Grover Cleveland, comments on Cleveland's policies on the tariff, the money
issue, etc., and his qualities as a statesman and as a man. Signed and dated
March 20, 1897, 22pp. Second essay, Editors and office, discusses and gives
examples of the relationships between newspaper editors and political office
holders, 7pp. A galley proof of an article concerning the dedication of a
monument to Francis Scott Key, [an address by Henry Watterson] is laid in.
Four loose pages, ms. with ms. revisions, numbered 8-11, may be a partial
