state on oath that he knew a certain Negro girl named SusanSusan
to be in the possession of HenryHenry Hight administrator of James
Rain [ Deceid ], and the said Hight claimed the said girl a
the property of said Rain Deceased. and she has been claimed and is yet claimed by HightHight as a slave one under hire
to someone in St. CharlesSt Charles by said Hight

And I have often heard HenryHenry Hight say that
said SusanSusan did come from within IllinoisIllinois Territory and
that she has resided with oneJamesJames Royal
