Depositions of witnesses, produced, sworn and examined
on the twenty fifth day of June, in the year of our lord eighteen hundred and nineteen, between the hours of nine of the clock in
the forenoon and six of the clock in the afternoon, of that day
at the house and office of F. U. Guyol, in the town of St. LouisSt Louis
in the county of St. LouisSt Louis in the territory, before me F. U. Guyol
a justice of the peace in said county, by virtue of a dedimus for
the examination of a witnesses, in a certain cause now depending
in the circuit court of the aforesaid county of St. LouisSt Louis between
Francois Leclerck and Joseph RobidouxJoseph Robideaux , and wherein said Francois
Leclerk is plaintiff against said Joseph RobidouxJoseph Robideaux , said depositions
taken on behalf and on the part of said plaintiff, and said dedimus
directed to any judge, or justice of the peace within the county of
St LouisSt Louis aforesaid

Charles LaBerge of lawful age being produced
Sworn and examined on the part of the plaintiff, deposeth and sayth
that sometime in July of the year eighteen hundred and sixteen
he formed a partnership with, Citoleux alias Laugerin, Abram LeDoux and Antoine LeDoux, in which they all paid
their share; that after having bought all the goods, wares,
merchandise and other articles, necessary for their trade; the
said deponent furnished them with several articles amounting to One hundred dollars and gave them also fifty dollars in money; upon which said

advance each of the four members of the company were indebted
to him for one fourth of said sum; the deponent also sayth
that he remained in St. LouisSt Louis, instead of going to trade in the MissouriMissouri, as he had first the intention, and sold to Francois
LeClerk all his interests in said firm and received of said Leclerk
a full and satisfactory compensation for the name, and at the
risks and perils of the said LeClerk, without any recourse
against him, said deponent. And furthermore Deponentsayth not.
