Thomas Hitcher, being
duly, sworn says that in the fall of eighteen
hundred & fifteen dependant had some
property in his possession in a damaged
condition consisting of some Buffalo robes
Deer skins beaver, skins Hats trunks, all
which were said to belong to one FredrickFredrick
Butler was drowned, near there
some time previous and that the body
of Butler was taken from the wreck, by
Defendant or his hands and that the property
was pricipally, taken up by one
and left with BirdBird for safe keeping
that BirdBird being about to remove away
delivered the property to James Lucas, and
took his receipt and witness become
