of AmericaAmerica upon their oath present that GeorgeGeorge late
of the said County the slave of LisaLisa on the
first day of july in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty with five and at
the town of St. LouisSt Louis the county aforesaid a large
quantity of beaverskins to wit eighteen packs of
beaverskins of great value, to wit of the value
of three hundred dollars for each pack, and a large
quantity of racoon skins to wit of the value of
one hundred dollars for each pack, of the goods
& chattels of certain persons using the same
and style of the "Missouri Fur CompanyMissouri Fur Company " (but
whose particular names are to the jurors aforesaid
unknown then and there being found,
commonly did steal take and carry away contrary
to the form of its statute in such case
made thousand and against the peace
and dignity of the UnitedUnited States StatesUnited States of AmericaAmerica.
