St. Louis County to wit: The jurors, for the State of MissouriMissouri
upon their oath Present, that WilliamWilliam EasdaleEasdale late of the
County of St. LouisCounty of St Louis State Keeper on the
first day of July in the year of our Lord Eighteen Hundred and Twenty with force and arms at
the County of St LouisCounty of St Louis aforesaid a large quantity of beaver skins,
to wit eighteen Packs of Beaver skins of great value to wit of the
value of Three Hundred dollars for each pack of the goods and
chattles of JoshuaJoshua Pilcher PilcherJoshua Pilcher ,, JosephJoseph Perkins PerkinsJoseph Perkins ,, AndrewAndrew Woods, MosesMoses Carson Tanone
CarsonMoses Carson Tanone , John BJohn B TanoneMoses Carson Tanone ,, & ThomasThomas Hempstead HempsteadThomas Hempstead ,, the surviving,
partners of a company of Fur Traders, using the Style &
of "The MissouriMissouri Fur Company FurMissouri Fur Company ,CompanyMissouri Fur Company " then and there being
found, feloniously, did steal, take, and carry, away contrary to
the form of the statute, in such case made and provided and against
the Peace and DignityDignity of (The United StatesUnited States of AmericaAmerica) of, the
state.

And the jurors, aforesaid upon their oath aforesaid do,
further present, that the said,WilliamWilliam EasdaleEasdale on the
first day of July in the year of our Lord Eighteen Hundred and Twenty
with force and arms at St LouisSt Louis in the County aforesaid unlawfully
and unjustfy did receive and Have a large quantity of Beaver,
skins to wit eighteen packs of beaver, skins of great value
to wit of the value of Three Hundred Dollars for each pack,
and a large quantity of Racoon skins,, to wit, two packs of
Racoon, Skins of great value to wit of the value of One Hundred
Dollars for each pack, of the goods and chattels, & of Joshna
Pilcher,, JosephJoseph Perkins PerkinsJoseph Perkins ,, AndrewAndrew Woods,, Moses CarsonMoses Carson Tanone , John BJohn B
TanoneMoses Carson Tanone , & Thomas HempsteadThomas Hempstead , the surviving> partners of
a company of Fur Traders using the style & Firm of
"The Missouri Missouri Fur Company, Company" then lately before
stolen,, taken, and carried away, by one GeorgeGeorge Tota,
the slave of Manuel LisaManuel Lisa deceased,, He the said WilliamWilliam
thre & then well knowing the same to be stolen, and unlawfully
come by - contrary to the form of the statute in such case made and provided
and against the peace & DignityDignity of the (united States of AmericaAmerica) & of the State
