Be it remembered that on the ninth day of October in
the forty fifth year of the independance of the United StatesUnited States
of and the first of this common wealth (A. D. 1820)
before as P. WalshP Walsh and Francis M. Gryal, two parties
of the peace within and for said county personally appeared
JamesJames A AJames A .WattWatt . as principal and Robert WattRobert Watt
Moses ScottMoses Scott , Thomas Heely, SamuelSamuel R. Ober of the county
who acknowledged themselves to be indebted to the stateâ
of MissouriMissouri, that is to say, the said JamesJames A AJames A .WattWatt
in the sum of One thousand dollars and the said
Robert WattRobert Watt , Moses ScottMoses Scott , Thomas Heely and SamuelSamuel R. Ober each and
every of them in the sum of five hundred and fifty dollars to
be levied upon each of their goods and chattels, lands and
tenements upon the following condition to wit: that the
aforesaid bounden JamesJames A AJames A .WattWatt , that be and
appear before the next circuit count, on the first dayâ
of the term thereof, said court to be holden at the
town of St. LouisSt Louis, on the first monday in December,
then and show to answer an indictment to be
to the grand jury for and that he shall not depart
said court until he be discharged or by leave of said
court, then this Recognisance to be made and
null else to in full force and virtue
