The Garnishee in the above cases
Thomas H. Benton moves the Court to set aside
the judgements by default taken in the above cases
against said Garnishee for the following reasons

1st Because the same were taken irregularly &
improperly and against the understanding, and
agreement of the plaintiffs, counsel made with
said Garnishee's Counsel.

2nd Because the answers

of said Garnishee who deposited with the Clerk
of this Court to be filed within the time limited
by the court & before said judgments by default were
asked for or rendered
