duly sworn
saith, that on or about

1827 he left home in
pursuit, of four Negros said to have
been
stolen, that their names were MillyMilly ,
William,
Harry DickHarry Dick & David Shipman
that on or about the 8th day of the same
month he saw said
Negros in
possession
of StephenStephen Smith ,SmithStephen Smith , against
whom said
Negros brought suit for freedom in
the St louis Court.
and further this
