This indenture made and entered unto this twenty seventh day of July 1844 between PaulusGuitarre
AgnesGuitarre and PierrePierre Deterriene and MariaMaria his
wife children of MargaretMargaret Guitarre decd who was
daughter of PhilipPhilip Riviere RivierePhilip Riviere alias BacanneJrdecd who
was the only son of PhilipPhilip Riviere RivierePhilip Riviere alias Bacanne
Srdecd who was a son of AntoineAntoine Bacanne Srdecd
of the first part and PhilipPhilip CMorehead of the second
part witnesseth that for and in consideration of the
sum of ten dollars to the parties of the first part in
hand paid by the party of the second part the receipt
of which is hereby acknowledged and in the further
consideration of the services of the said Morehead
as Attorney & Councellor at Law rendered and to be rendered
in and about the investigation of their rights to
Real Estate in the County of St LouisCounty of St Louis MissouriMissouri as heir
at Law of Antonie Riviere Bacanne Sr.decd of PhilipPhilip
Reviere alias Bacanne jrdecd of PaulusGuitarre
jrdecd their father hath bargained & sold and by
these presents do grant bargain sell & convey
to said Morehead one half of all their undivided
rights claims & interests as heirs aforesaid and to all
and every real Estate to which they are entittled as heirs
aforesaid in the County & State aforesaid to have
and to hold said mentioned rights interests and claim
to him the said Morehead his heirs & c forever covenanting
to warrant against themselves their heirs and those
claming by through or under them only It being
understood that parties of the first part are to be
at no expenses whatever therein In witness whereof
the parties of the first part have hereunto settheir
hands and seals this day & year within written
