This Indenture made and entered into this fifth day of July 1845 between Antoine SmithAntonie Smith Sr of the first part and
PhilipPhilip C. Morehead of the second part witnesseth: that for
and in consideration of the sum of fifty Dollars to the party
of the first part in hand paid by the party of the second
part the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged
hath bargained & granted & sold, & by these presents doth grant
bargain sell alien and convey unto the said party
of the second part, his heirs & C all the undivided right
titles and interests of him the said party of the first
part whatsoever acquired by virtue of a deed of marriage
contract with his decd wife or as survivor of her in
any other manner in & to the following described Real
Estate to writ forty arpents lying in the common field
of St LouisSt Louis granted by the Spanish Government to
AntoineAntoine Reviere alias Bacanne decd Se Picart on
one side Bearon the other in the original grant
Picart on one side Dion on the other in the survey
afterwards made thereof under the Spanish Government afterwards confirmed by the United StatesUnited States known
by a survey of the United StatesUnited States authorities No 1273
also forty arpents lying on the Southern part of the
Grand prairie granted as aforesaid and since confirm
by the United StatesUnited States and not yet surveyed Bounde
on one side, Cerneau on the other also Sixty arpents
in the Grand Prarie granted as aforesaid & since
Confirmed by the United StatesUnited States and surveyed known
as number 1270 Fr Corneau on one side & Le
under Lebuxiere on the other. To have and to hold
all the undivided rights titles and interests of the pair
of the first part in and to said described tracts or
parcels of land to him the said party of the second
part his heirs and assigns forever.
