This deed made and entered into the Eighteenth day of
September Eighteen hundered and forty six, by and between FrancisFrancis
Picart and EmilyEmily his wife and MaryMary AnneAnne Picart
of the county of St LouisSt Louis State of MissouriMissouri parties of the first part, and Frederick Norcom of said
county and state party of the second part, Wit

nesseth, That, the said parties of the first part
in consideration of two hundered and fifty dollars
to them paid by the said party of the second part
the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged
do by these presents remise release and forever
quit claim unto the said party of the second
part, all their right, title, claim and interest in
and to a common field that lying in what is called
the PrairiePrairie of St LouisSt Louis, or Big Mound PrairiePrairie
in the county, aforesaid containing one arpent in front by forty arpens in depth, being forty ar

pens in superficies, and is the same originally
conceded to AlexisAlexis Picart, and surveyed by
the United StatesUnited States as survey No 1434, and is
bounded north by the arpent that oroginally con
ceded to Antoine RiviereAntoine Riviere dit Baccanne, South
by the arpent originally conceded to A. B.
Languine, East & West by the Ancient line of
the common field of said Prairies: To have and
to hold the same together with the rights, immunities
privileges and appurtenances to the same
belonging unto the said party of the second of the second
part and to his heirs and assigns forever the
said parties of the first part hereby covenanting
that their heirs executons and administrators
shall and will warrant and defend the title
to the premises, to the said party of the second
part and to his heirs and assigns forever, aganist
the lawful claims of all persons who may claim
the same by or through them. This deed is intended as a
