William ClarkWilliam Clark by a his attorney complains
of NathanNathan WalkerWalker of a plea of trespass on the
case for that whereas hereto for to on
the first day of August on the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred & twenty eight
at the aforesaid the said defendants
was indebted to the said plaintiff in the sum of
one thousands Dollars Lawful money of the UnitedUnited States
StatesUnited States for so much money by the said Defendants
before then had received of the said plaintiffs
at the special requests of the defendants to the case
of the plaintiff & being he said defendants
in consideration thereof afterwards to
the same day year let's the plan lasts aforesaid
then & there undertook & faithfully
promised to the said plaintiff to pay him the
the said sum of money
be there unto afterwards requested yet the said
plaintiff although after requested hath
paid to said plaintiff said sum or any parts of
but to do has refused & still

refuses to the plaintiffs Damage of one thousand
Dollars & therefore he sues
