It is here by ordered that RalphRalph the
above named petitioner be permitted to sue as a
poor person to establish his freedom &GustavusGustavus A Bird AGustavus A Bird BirdGustavus A Bird
is assigned as his counsel to commence&present his
suit for freedom; it is ordered that said RalphRalph shall have reasonable liberty to attend his counsel& the Courts when occasion may require &
that said RalphRalph shall not be removed out of
the jurisdiction of the Circuit Courts of St LouisCircuit Court
County nor be subjected to any severity because of
his application for freedom Given under my hand
