HenryHenry of of lawfull age being duly sworn
Deposeth and saith that some time in the
autumn or [ fore fourt ] of winter of 1829 in a conversation
which he had with Joseph G Carrington the said
CarringtonCarrington told him he had a Black girl he wanted
to hire out if he could safely do it in and
wished him to hire her he told him he would examine
the law and hire her if the law would
justify him afterwards.I became satisfied he
could not safely do it
