her attorney complains of BerryBerry Meachum MeachumBerry Meachum
of a plea of trespass for false imprison-
ment: For that whereas the said MeachumMeachum
heretofore to wit on the 2nd day of January 1837 at the county aforesaid with force and
arms made an assault upon the said
JudyJudy to wit, at & and then and there
beat bruised and ill treated her the said Ju-
dy and then and there imprisoned her and
kept and detained her in prison there without
any probable or resonable cause what-
soever for a long space of time to wit
for the space of then next following
contrary to the act of the
