William ClarkWilliam Clark
has produced to the Register of Lands, the Treasurer's duplicate Receipts for the sum of
thirty five dollars and one cent
being the amount of taxes and penalties due the State of MissouriMissouri on 680 56/100 cents
of same lying in the county of St. CharlesSt Charles being town
ship forty eight (48) Range six (6) assignedto William ClarkWilliam Clark
as described in the list delivered to the Register, by the Collector of said County ofCounty of St Charles StCounty of St Charles.
CharlesCounty of St Charles for the year of one thousand eight hundred and thirty six
which said described property was by the Auction of Public accounts
on theSeventhday of Decemberone thousandeight hundred and fortybid into the State for the
taxes and penalties then due thereon, and unpaid for the year one thousand eight hundred and thirty six& also the taxes of1837, 1838, 1839&1840
Now therefore, Know ye that, I, John Heard, Register of Lands, by
virtue of the power and authority in me vested by law, and for and in consideration of the afore
said sum of thirty five dollars & one cent
do by these presents, Release unto the aforesaid George R H ClarkGeorge R Clark
Executor of William ClarkWilliam Clark
or the legal owner or owners thereof, the property above mentioned and described, and
the same is hereby redeemed in pursuance of law
