And now comes
she defendant by his attorneys, and
defends the force and injury, when, &c
and says, that he is not guilty of
the said suffered grievances, or either
of them, in manner and form as the
paid plaintiff hath thereof above
complained.

And of this he the said defendant
puts himself afore the County &c
