1st. Defendant moves to strike from the record,,
the paper marked "filed Nov. 20th 1854.," for
the reason
1. That said paper is not filed in accordance
with, but directly in derogation of the rule of
this court.

the original petition, nor is it a petition itself,
for freedom, as the suit purports to be.
