William K. RuleWilliam K Rule one of the plain
tiffs in the above petition maketh oath & saith that he hath
a real subsisting & unsatisfied cause of action against CharlesCharles Bent
BentCharles Bent the defendant which is the same cause of action set out
in the above petition and amounts to the sum of six hundred
ninety eight dollars sixty two cents and further that the
plaintiff will be in danger of losing his debt unless the defendant
he held to bail: that said BentBent is about to leave MissouriMissouri for
MexicoMexico a foreign country(where he has been in the habit of dealing
for several years.) without leaving, to the knowledge or belief of the
affiant any property or effects in MissouriMissouri or making any provision
to pay recd debt, although payment, has been urged upon him by
this affiant recenty by request of the oweners of the claim
