Caution!—We are informed by Mr. Ed-
wards, Publisher of the St. Louis Director, that
persons are now can vassing the city for adver
tisements and subscribers for what they call
a Business Directory. He would caution the
public against all Directory adventurers, and
strangers who know nothing of our city or its
population, and ask them to give their aid
to the regular St. Louis Director. By so do-
ing, they will secure a work that can de-
pended upon for its reliability and complete-

dition to listen to or aid any person soliciting
for any other than the regular City Direc-
tory, as, by so doing, another such miserable
swindle as was issued a few months ago will
never be repeated. Mr. Edwards, the Pub-
lisher of the regular City Director, requests us
to cantion the public to be careful in giving their subscirptions and information to his
duly authorized agents.
