Normal School.
The Normal School was established in 1857, ex-
pressly for the purpose of supplying well qualified
teacherrs for the lower grades, and already it has
furnished a large majority of the teacher employ-
ed the Board. Probably in no instance in the
country has the usefulness of a Normal or Train-
ing School been more cleary established than in
this case. Number of teachers under music
teacher, 2; number of students from 30 to 80.
