Interview with Laverne Barkley

Can you tell me some about Elliot and the kind of person he was and the curiosity and the things he did?

Well, Elliot was a very complex individual. He was interested in a lot of things. He liked reading. He liked people. His mind never tired or reading. It was like eating and drinking to him. He read lots of books, all types of books. He liked Nietzsche and his works. He liked things about communists, or I should say he read things about them. He was interested in the Eastern cultures. You know, lamas and their type of religion. And there were so many other things he was interested in, which you could tell by looking at the library in there. The majority of those books belonged to him. And we still have more on the attic steps that just won't fit in to that library.
