WHAT DO YOU THINK THAT HE LEARNED FROM LITTLE ROCK? DO YOU THINK THERE WERE LESSONS THAT HE TOOK?
Herbert Brownell, Jr.:
I think that he realized more and more the importance of uh, desegregating the public schools to the general welfare of the United States and uh that Little Rock was a dramatization uh, of the fact that if you continued uh, with segregation that there would always be a split uh, in this country that was unhealthy.
