STOKELY CARMICHAEL:

Ah, when Dr. Martin Luther King was assassinated in April of '68, his assassination came after the long line of assassination of others, such as Medgar Evers, such as, ah, Malcolm X, such as Herbert Lee whom people may or may not have known but conscious element in our community certainly were aware of it. Of course we must add that all of these assassinations went unpunished by the culprits.
