You also told me about the incredible irony of what the police force did to Howard Saffold in the, after the murder.

GEORGE CLEMENTS:

Oh yes, because, ah, Howard was, ah, a member of the Afro-American Patrolman's League, and a very prominent member. And the police, ah, were insidious in their way of trying to strike out at anybody who they felt was, ah, upsetting the system, and especially a traitor within their own ranks. And that's what they viewed Howard as, as somebody that was just, you know, he was the worst 'cause they had trained him and everything.
