Interview with Jane Duwors
QUESTION 11
INTERVIEWER:

So remembering Black Tuesday, um, were you surprised when South Boston High School was put into federal receivership?

JANE DUWORS:

No, not at all because I felt that South Boston High was in federal receivership already being under the federal court order. And it really didn't matter who ran the school because ultimately the federal court was running the school. We had federal marshals up there. So I wasn't shocked and I wasn't, ah, too excited about it. It was just another, another, ah, federal body stepping in to run a school system.
