Dr. Robert Ellis:

The University's administration was, was notably… (brief background discussion) The University's administration was, was, uh, notably not informed about uh, the circumstances of what was going to happen, uh, when the plans were being made to bring Mr. Meredith to the University's campus. Uh, I, I know for a fact that the University's administration did not know when the military was going to come to the campus on that Sunday evening. And didn't know until the troops actually began arriving on the campus. And of course the riot had already begun by that time.
