Now did you have any feelings about the fact that you were assigned there, that you were in a sense made to go there?
PHYLLIS ELLISON:
I didn't know what desegregation was all about. I didn't know that about busing or being forced to bus to South Boston High School. I just know, knew that that was my assignment, South Boston High was my assignment and that was my friends' assignment and I wanted to be with my friends.
