Interview with Sandra Feldman
QUESTION 20
INTERVIEWER:

Just once again, but make sure you say the transferring of the teachers. What was your reaction when you heard about the transferring of teachers?

SANDRA FELDMAN:

Well, first of all most of the teachers felt that it really was a dismissal, not a transfer, because the local authority had no right to transfer that. They could only say, "You're not working here anymore." And, ah, I was, I was upset and shocked because I thought it was a political act that had nothing to do with what we were trying to do in the district in terms of, of creating better relationships. Obviously it was a move in the exact opposite direction.

INTERVIEWER:

Stop down.
