Very briefly, who were the Invaders?

WILLIAM LUCY:

The, the Invaders were a brunch, ah, a group----

PAUL STECKLER:

Start again, without--Who were the Invaders?

WILLIAM LUCY:

The Invaders were a group of, um, you know, college students from Memphis State who, ah, had a very, very strong feeling about the need for a more militant approach, not just to the problems of the city of Memphis, but certainly to the problems of the strike. Ah, made up of, of, ah, student leaders, ah, and I think very intelligent and very bright kids, ah, ah, they were later infiltrated by the Memphis police department, and I suspect by the Federal Bureau of Investigation also.
