Do you remember what people were chanting back then?

WILLIAM LUCY:

Well, we were chanting and modifying new and old civil rights songs, like, and I remember one distinctly that was aimed at the, at Mayor Loeb and it paraphrased one of the old spirituals, it was, you know, "Loeb is our leader, he shall be removed." Ah, the young kids, ah, who had just an incredible, you know, ability to, to develop songs with the spirit of most of the marchers.
