Interview with Ed Marciniak
QUESTION 22
SHEILA C. BERNARD:

What was the risk to the mayor in terms of police protection? What was it doing to the police force?

ED MARCINIAK:

Well, he, he had a superintendent who believed in the policies that we're talking about. And therefore, his job was to pick people would carry out such orders, whether it was on the marches or in the case of a family that moved, Black family that moved in a White neighborhood. We didn't have a wishy-washy police superintendent. That was extremely important on this question.
