Interview with Gov. George C. Wallace
QUESTION 32
INTERVIEWER:

NOW I UNDERSTAND THAT YOU WERE PRETTY ANGRY WITH HIM AFTER THE INCIDENT. WHAT EXCHANGE DID YOU HAVE WITH HIM AFTER THE INCIDENT BECAUSE THERE WAS ANOTHER MARCH PLANNED TWO DAYS LATER.

Gov. George C. Wallace:

I told him, I said I told you not to go over there governor, I just felt like that I was the only one that could keep things from happening like they did happen and I'm sorry it happened and I said well Lingo, you just shouldn't have gone, but he said well governor I apologize because really I don't think it was anybody's fault it just happened.
