WHAT DID YOU THINK OF PRESIDENT JOHNSON DURING THAT MEETING, WHAT WAS THAT LIKE?

Gov. George C. Wallace:

Well, we a, we were not together politically but we were personal friends and had always been, you see I used to quote in my opposition the so called civil rights bill on the matter of interfering with the property on a ship system and the free enterprise system. And I used to quote him in his speeches when he spoke against the civil rights bill so you see winning the presidency and got him passed. Now I'm glad their passed and they we had not problem accommodating every one of them.
