Interview with Wyatt Tee Walker
QUESTION 5
INTERVIEWER:

WHY DO YOU THINK IT WAS SO SIGNIFICANT?

Wyatt Tee Walker:

Well, for two important reasons. One, we learned how to mobilize an entire community for an assault on segregation, and secondly, we learned that valid and crucial lesson that you must pinpoint your target so that you do not dilute the strength of your attack.** And had there not been an Albany we would not have had a Birmingham, which in my view is one of the chief watersheds of non-violent struggle…in this movement.
