At the end of 1968, how did you feel?

ANDREW YOUNG:

Well, I was floundering at the end of 1968, and I think the only thing that saved me was the Hospital Workers' Strike in Charleston, South Carolina. I went over to Charleston in early '69 in response to a, a Hospital Workers Union 1199. And I got involved with Charleston for the next 100 days.
