Know all Men by these Presents,
that we Augustus Lavey as prin-
cipal, and Hugh Rose as secu-
rity, are held and firmly bound
unto the State of MifsouriMissouri in the pe-
nal sum of two hundred dollars
for the payment of which sum well
and truly to be made they hereby
bind themselves, their heirs, executors
and administrators, firmly by these pre-
sents, sealed with our seals and dated this
second day of May, one thousand eight hundred and forty-three.

The conditions of the above obliga-
tion is such, that, whereas, the county court
of Saint Louis County, have granted, al-
lowed and given to the above bounden
Augustus Lavey, a license to
reside and remain in the State
of MifsouriMissouri , according to law: Now, if
the said Augustus Lavey, shall be
and remain of good behavior while
and so long as he may and shall re-
main, reside or be in the state above
said, then this obligation to be void_
otherwise to be in full force.
