Know all men my these presents that I Betsy
Woodsides as principal and [ Davd ]Keith
as security are held and firmly bound unto the
State of MifsouriMissouri in the just and full
sum of four hundred dollars that is to say the said
Betsy Woodsides and the said David Keith
in the sum of two hundred dollars
each for the true payment of which we bind our-
selves our and each of our heirs executors ad-
ministrators and afsignsassigns jointly and severally firmly
by these presents sealed with our seals and
dated this third day of May in the year of our Lord one Thousand eight hundred and forty three.

The condition of the above obli-
gation is such whereas the said Betsy
Woodsides has this day obtained from the County
Court of St Louis County a License to remain in
this state under the provisions of act of
the General AfsemblyAssembly of the state of MifsouriMissouri
entitled "an act more effectually to prevent
free persons of color from entering into this
State and for other purposes" appeared the
twenty third day of February in the year of Our Lord one Thousand eight hundred and forty three. Now if the said Betsy Woodsides
shall be of good behaviour during the conti
nuance of said License them the above
obligation to be void else to be and remain
in full force
