Know all men by these
presents that we Isaac William &
Samuel Willi of the City of St Louis
State of MifsouriMissouri are held & firmly
bound to the State of MifsouriMissouri in the
sum of two hundred _ dollars the payment
whereof we hereby bind ourselves our
executors administrators & afsignsassigns

The condition of the above
obligation is such that whereas the said
Isaac Williamsa free person of colour has this day obtained a
license to from the County Court of St Louis
& State of MifsouriMissouri aforesaid to reside
in the of this State under an act
entitled an act the more effectually
to prevent free persons of colour from
entering this State & other purposes
approved February 23rd A.D 1843
Now therefore if the said Isaac Williams
shall continue of good moral charact-
er & behavior & to support himself
by lawful [ imployment ] then this
obligation to be void & null other-
wise to remain in full force &
virtue
