Know all Men by these presentsthat we Alexander
Graham as principal and George.G. Anderson
as security are held and firmly bound unto the
State of MifsouriMissouri in the Just and full sum of
Two hundred dollars Each for the true payment
of which sum of Money we bind ourselves our heirs
our heirs Executors administrators and assigns.
Jointly and Severally by these presents sealed
with our seals and dated this twenty third day of June in the Year of our Lord Eighteen hundred and forty three___ The Condition of this obligation is
such that whereas_Alexander Graham__ has this
day obtained from the County Court of Saint Louis
County a license to remain in this state as a free person
of colour under the provision of an act Entitled
an Act more Effectually to prevent free persons
of Colour from Entering into this State and for
other purposes approved 23rd February 1843.

Now the Condition of this Bond is Such that
if the said Alexander Graham shall be of Good
Behaviour during the Continuance of said [ Licence ]
then the above obligation to be void otherwise to
be in full force and virtue
