Know all men by these prsents that we Jane Brack-
enridge as principal and Mic Michael Ziegler
as security are held and firmly bound each unto the
State of MifsouriMissouri in the just and full sum of Two
Hundred dollars for the true payment of which sum of
money we bind ourselves and each our heirs, executors ad-
ministrators and afsignsassigns jointly and severally by these pre-
sents, sealed with our seals and dated this fourth day of March in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred and forty-four

The condition of this obligation is such that whereas Jane
Brackenridge has this day obtained from the County Court of
Saint Louis County a license to remain in the State of Mif-
souriMis-
souri as a free person of color under the provisions of an act
entitled "An act more effectually to prevent free persons
of color from entering into the State and other purposes"

Now the condition of this Bond is such that if the said
Jane Brackenridge shall be of good behaviour, then the
above obligation to be void, otherwise to be and remain
in full force and virtue in law
