Know all men by these presents that we
Ellen Clay as principal and Thomas Walsh
Moore and Nicholaus Wachner
as securities are held and firmly
bound unto the State of Missouri in the just
and full sum of one thousand dollars for the
payment whereof we do hereby bind ourselves
our heirs, executors and administrators,
sealed with our seals and dated this tenth day of December eighteen hundred and forty six. The condition of this obligation is
such that whereas the said Ellen has
applied for and obtained a license to reside
in the State of Missouri during good behavior
Now therefore if the said Ellen shall be
of good behavior during her residence in
this State, then this obligation shall be void
else of full force and effect
