Know all men by these presents that we
John Roland as principal and
Daniel Murphy_____ as security are held
and firmly bound unto the state of
MifsouriMissouri in the sum of two hundred
dollars to the payment of which we bind
ourselves, ourheirs, executors and ad=
ministrators and each and every of them
firmly by their presents,sealed with
our seals and dated this third day of May in the year Eighteen hundred and forty-three

The condition of this obligation is
such that wherease on the third day of May of the year above written the count
y court of the County of st Louis and
state of MifsouriMissouri granted to the said
John Roland a license to reside
within said state of MifsouriMissouri __Now if
the said John Roland shall during his residence in said state will de=
port and conduct himself as a good
and orderly citizen then is this obligation
to be voide, otherwise to remain in full
force and effect in law_
